Tariff Update Overview
On April 2, 2025, an Executive Order was issued imposing 10% baseline tariffs on imports from all countries. This order took effect on April 5, 2025, and is still in place.
Additionally, the Administration imposed reciprocal tariffs, which were higher than 10% on many countries.
As of April 9, 2025, those reciprocal tariffs were paused on all countries for 90 days, except for China, where the Administration announced additional elevated tariffs.
As of May 12, 2025, the United States and China have agreed to a 90-day suspension of additional tariffs. Effective May 14, tariffs on Chinese goods will decrease from 145% to 30%.
Business Impact
At EdgeEndo, we’ve worked hard to shield our customers from rising costs. For example, we did not increase prices on NiTi files in 2025. Thanks to our significant U.S.-based manufacturing and strong cost controls, we’ve been able to absorb many of the increases caused by tariffs so far.
Our mission remains the same: to provide high-quality endodontic solutions at significantly lower costs, so you can continue delivering great care to your patients.
However, many of our products are impacted by newly enacted tariffs. To continue delivering the quality and service you expect, we will need to adjust our pricing.
Our Response
- We’ve made the strategic decision to take a small (4.75%) cost increase on all products.*
- After careful analysis of inventory levels, customer ordering patterns, and raw material sourcing, we determined a balanced, broad-based approach is a better outcome for customers than applying larger increases to specific products.
- New pricing will take effect on June 3, 2025. Current pricing on products will be honored through June 2, 2025.
- We are accelerating efforts to help mitigate the tariff impact, and will be re-evaluating pricing as these mitigation strategies are executed. Where possible, we are taking advantage of windows of opportunity where tariffs are either paused or reduced.
